“The Snowy Day and the Art of Ezra Jack Keats” is the first major exhibition in this country to pay tribute to award-winning author and illustrator. September 9, 2011 – January 29, 2012.

Anyone who misses the show in New York will have a chance to catch it as it travels around the country over the next 18 months. Next stop: The Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art in Amherst, Massachusetts (June 26–October 14, 2012); then the Contemporary Jewish Museum in San Francisco (November 15, 2012–February 24, 2013); and finally the Akron Art Museum in Ohio (March 16–June 30, 2013).

Paint with watercolor and layer patterned papers to form a relief collage using light as a theme. View the exhibition and examine Keats’s vibrant colors and striking collages.

Family Concert: Randy Kaplan

Ages 2 to 7

Musician Randy Kaplan will perform original songs inspired by Keats’s books Clementina’s Cactus, Jennie’s Hat and Whistle for Willie as a highlight of his award-winning American songbook.
